Naturally dyed wool with medicinal herbs; body-based weaving

My work started with research on herbal medicine traditionally used to heal period pain during my residency at Intermix in Al Diriyah. I then naturally dyed wool threads with colors extracted from these herbs. Each roll of wool became a healing remedy, and when mixed together, they formed a material intended to heal the body from cyclical period pain.

I then incorporated my research findings into a piece by weaving with my body as a loom. The performance took four hours to complete, ending with the cutting of the woven piece, which had grown on my body like an organ.
